rectangular form with canted corners, the cover and sides with chinoiserie decoration, the base engraved 'The Gift of K: Charles 2 to Mrs Gwin: Her Son Charles Duke of St Alban Gave this to me Lawrence Ansnoth 1720 Who had then the Honour to be Head Butler to Him', with leather-bound case, length 7.2cm, approx. weight 3.3oz.
