Comprising over 850 lots, the 13th and 14th July 2021 Silver and Objects of Vertu sale includes several private collections, along with a wide selection of objects of vertu, flatware, antique and post war items, foreign, Scottish and Irish silver.  Among the collections are selected boxes from The Lion Collection of silver snuff boxes, including lot 775, a mid-18th century silver tontine snuff box, estimate £3,000-£4,000.  There are also several other private collections including Arts and Crafts and post war silver, flatware, lancet cases, salt spoon, vinaigrettes, mustard pots and snuff boxes.

A feature of the Arts & Crafts and Post War section is lot 613, a pair of late-Victorian silver candlesticks by Gilbert Marks, embossed and chased with cherries and foliate fruit decoration, estimate of £8,000-£12,000. Other makers in this section include Omar Ramsden and Alwyn Carr, Liberty & Co, A. E. Jones, Stuart Devlin and Gerald Benney.

Highlights of the sale include three lots by renowned silversmith Paul Storr.  Lot 857 a George III two-handled tea urn, London 1814, estimate £10,000-£12,000; lot 856 a pair of George III silver entrée dishes and covers, London 1799, estimate £6,000-£8,000 and lot 798 a George III silver salver, London 1814, estimate £2,000-£3,000.
