A large Commonwealth gold locket with a miniature,
circa 1653,
oval form, hinged glass cover, with a portrait miniature on copper of Thomas Kynnersley of Loxley Park Staffordshire, (b1631), the reverse finely engraved with an armorial within foliate scroll mantling, and initialled T.K, and inscribed 'Aetatis Suae.22.1653', with a ring attachment, length 8cm, total gross weight including glass and miniature 60g.
