A 19th century Russian silver-gilt and niello work tea equipage set,
by Ovchinnikov, assay master Viktor Savinkov, Moscow 1868 and 1869,
comprising: twelve teaspoons, a caddy spoon, a pair of sugar tongs, a sifting spoon, a ladle and a beaker, the bowls with an initial, tapering spiral stems, the reverse of the bowls with architectural scenes, the beaker of circular form, on three ball feet, height of beaker, height 5.5cm, in a fitted case, initialled, retailed by Ovchinnikov, approx. weighable 21oz.
