circular form, the spot-hammered mounts with a pierced and castellated border, the centre with a Tudor rose boss, the wooden body with two splits, on a raised circular spot-hammered base with a rope-work border, inscribed 'John Crispian Athorpe, Dinnington Yorkshire, 25th October 1935', diameter 11.3cm, height 8cm.
