A George I oval snuff box, the cover inset with a translucent panel of faceted, banded agate, 'stand-away' hinge and gilt interior, the base naively engraved with a river landscape on the edge of a village, with worked areas of land in the foreground, unmarked, possibly Scottish 1715-25, 2.8in (7.3cm) wide.
