A modern silvergilt mounted mother of pearl inkstand in the form of a casket, canted oblong with eight bracket feet and lappet borders of engraved stiff leaves, the twin covers with hasp closures, opening from a single hinge each revealing an interior fitted with a mounted cut glass inkbottle, the casket by Robert Frederick Fox, London 1915, the bottle mounts by George Fox, London 1899, retaillers mark of 'Callow of Mount St, Mayfair', 7.1in (18cm) wide.
