A William III silver two-handled porringer and cover,

circular form, part-fluted decoration below a stamped border, scroll handles, the pull-off cover with fluted decoration and with a fluted baluster finial, on a raised circular foot, engraved with a later crest, later bright lacquer, height 24cm, approx. weight 31.8oz.

Provenance: purchased from How (Of Edinburgh), 41 St. James's Place, London 12 December 1995.

The crest is that of a number of families including Blackburne, Earle, Fletcher, Hepburn and Horsfall.
