A George III silver hot water jug,

by Louisa Courtauld and George Cowles, London 1768,

baluster form, part-fluted decoration, scroll handle, fluted domed cover, engraved with a crest within foliate mantling, height 25.5cm, approx. weight 19.5oz.

The crest is that of Annesley.

Provenance: Hugh, 5th Earl Annesley 1831-1908, and thence by descent to the present owner.
