A TIBETAN GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF A BODHISATTVA 17TH CENTURY Seated on a lotus throne, wearing a dhoti, with celestial ribbons at the shoulders, a tiara and elaborate jewellery, his right hand is raised in vitarka mudra, and his left lowered in dhyana mudra rest on his lap, the base sealed, inscribed with Tibetan script to the back of the throne, 10.5cm, 581g. Provenance: formerly in the Cheng Huan Collection.
