A SMALL JAPANESE ARITA FOOTED DISH
EDO PERIOD, 17TH CENTURY
The lobed body raised on a thin rectangular foot, the well decorated with formal floral designs and panels of sayagata patterns; the reverse with two flowerheads and scrolling tendrils, the foot with a band of triangular lappets; painted in underglaze blue, green, yellow and red enamels; together with a tomobako (wood box), 13cm.
