A set of three George II silver tea caddies,

rectangular bombé form, embossed foliate scroll and rocaille decoration, later engraved with an armorial, the pull-off covers with cone finials, on four pierced paw bracket feet, in a fitted shagreen case, with brass fittings and red velvet lining, height of larger central caddy 13cm, height of smaller 12.5cm, approx. weight 20oz. The arms are those of Mitchell impaling another.
