A late 19th century Italian needlework picture, depicting an urn of vine leaves and grapes with a pair of peacocks flanking the Christian symbol Chi-Rho, 48.5 x 67.5, in a glazed Florentine carved giltwood frame.

Provenance: Sir Russell Hornby of Barraclough, Clitheroe, Lancashire who inherited it from his maternal uncle, 'Count' Redmond Toler Clayton-Browne Clayton of the Villa La Punta, Cervara, Santa Margherita, Ligure, Italy.
