The department holds four annual auctions of oil paintings, watercolours, prints, miniatures and sculpture, ranging from the 16th to 21st Centuries. Our recent highlights include a pair of oils Attributed to Jacopo Amigoni that fetched £260,000 in March 2020 and a Luigi Bechi 19th Century genre painting reached £25,000 last September. From the Modern sales the Fredda Brilliant Studio Collection totalled £142,250 in summer 2019, and in December 2019 an exciting work by George Washington Lambert made £78,000 and a Dorothea Sharp beach scene achieved £55,000.
